More than 24 years ago, Eric Minor opened a small repair shop in Fullerton with one simple idea: treat every car — and every customer — like they matter. No upsells. No surprises. Just honest work at a fair price.
Word got around. The shop got busier. And somewhere along the way, customers started asking about more than just oil changes.
“Can you fix the rust on my ’67 Mustang?” “I’ve got a hot rod project sitting in my garage. Could you finish it?” “I want something nobody else has. Can you build it?”
The answer was always yes — and slowly, MAC Speed & Custom was born. What began as a side passion grew into a full custom and restoration division, sharing the same shop floor, the same crew, and the same standards as the daily service business.
Today, we’re proud to be a complete shop. The kind of place where you can drop off your daily driver for a tune-up and pick up a one-of-a-kind build the same week. If it has pistons, Eric has heard it, fixed it, or built it from scratch. Knock, ping, hum, or hesitation — he can usually diagnose it before the hood is even up.
Knows engines inside and out. From daily drivers to high-performance builds, Bobby makes sure everything runs exactly how it should.
Grant is an expert in advanced diagnostics and wiring. He can quickly detect and fix complex electrical issues in cars so that the computer systems run smoothly.
Denny is an expert in electric vehicles, especially Tesla. He has full capability to handle every technical need of EVs, from battery management to software updates.
Garry is an expert in transmissions and drivetrains. He rebuilds, fine-tunes, and ensures reliable power delivery — every shift is smooth.
Jose perfects alignments, bushings, and steering components. The car corners flat and tires wear evenly.
McKenna is an expert in ECU tuning, fuel mapping, and boost control. She extracts safe horsepower without compromising reliability.
Turbo designs and builds custom turbo kits and exhaust systems from scratch. His setups spool fast and pull hard.
