My temperature gauge is fine, but I see a small coolant leak. Is it urgent?

Yes — sooner rather than later. A small leak today is a bigger leak next month, and a system that’s slowly losing coolant is a system about to overheat. Get it looked at while it’s still small.

Is it safe to drive a car that's overheating?

No. Pull over as soon as it’s safe, let the engine cool, and don’t keep driving. Continued driving on an overheated engine can cause permanent damage in minutes — head gaskets, warped heads, even cracked blocks. Have it towed if you have to.
